JUSTYING AN EXPEDIENT FROM SCRIPTURE

If you are interested in this sort of thing, read my short article that shows the Biblical approach to determining if a something is an expedient or if it is an addition to God's word. An expedient is an unspecified, while Biblically acceptable means of fulfilling God's word. It's not an addition to God's Word since God leaves it up to us to figure out how to accomplish His will. On the other hand, an addition to God's word is forbidden (Rev 22; Pro. 30:6; Deut. 4:2; 1 Cor. 4:6; Gal. 1:6-9; 2 Timothy 4:1-4). This study helps to show the difference between an expedient and an addition. Download file HERE.
