STAY CONNECTED TO THE LOVE OF GOD

Stay connected to, stay in, and be informed and guided by the love of God with mind, body, and soul. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son" is the truth that sets free. It is love that connects us to Almighty God. Without God the mind cannot be stable for it necessarily rest upon a lie, Mt 7:24-27. The deceptions of the godless world make for uncertainty and lack of confidence. Only when you are standing on God, the bedrock Truth, can you begin to collect yourself and regain your ability to live in a crazy world. Only then can you stand, truly stand, in the storms of life.

Truth takes away uncertainty. Truth brings clarity and confidence. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but by Me", Jn 14:6. This truth provides you the stable foundation for approaching life. Only when you know "the way, the truth, the life", can you begin to get up each day with greater joy, confidence, and courage.

So many people live their lives in fear because they don't know or trust in the love of God. Love and fear are poles apart and are opposed to each other. The Apostle John said that "fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love", and "perfect love cast out all fear", 1 John 4:18. Fear makes you doubt and waver in uncertainty. It makes you shrink back. Fear makes you hide and clam up. Fear controls. This is not a happy place to be which is why we must stay tethered to the truth of God.

Love is liberating, freeing, empowering. "God is love" and God wants His beloved to imitate the love they have seen in Jesus Christ, 1 John 4:16; Eph 5:1,2. Knowing the love of God brings a person out of the dark deceptions of this world and into the light of truth. The mind that dwelt in a place of fear and doubt becomes whole again. By God's love, we know who we are. We are filled with the purpose of the eternal God. Love sets you free.

Life with the Great Shepherd is the abundant life filled with joy and confidence. Jesus said, "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly", John 10:10. Those who say they believe in Jesus Christ need to ask themselves if they have the abundant life. The world without God is stealing, robbing, and killing people of any sense of joy or purpose. Only by staying in God's truth and by staying near to the Great Shepherd can we have the abundant life.

If you are still afraid, you are still not trusting God. Trusting God means putting your fears and worries in God's hand, but sometimes we walk away from His throne of grace still carrying them.  Many will rationalize, justify, criticize, and say "You don't know!" What the Scriptures say is that Jesus is the great physician and counselor. He has many people from the craziness of living in a dark world. Without Christ we have known the cancer that is doubt. We have known that a lack of faith leads to the lack of assurance and confidence. We know that this world will entice us to divide ourselves ten different ways in mind, body, and soul so that God only gets leftovers. These things are not from God and it's not God's will for us. God brings unity to our mind, body, and soul if we will choose to love Him with all of our being: the first great commandment says what we are to do. Nothing less will bring happiness. But half-hearted, luke-warm, two-souled Christians are splitting their minds, their allegiances, and are inviting insanity. If this is you, stop what you are doing and love God. And while you are at it, do the second great commandment to love your neighbor. Love is the "greatest of these", the superior way, because it tethers you to the eternal God.

If we are trusting God then we are mind, body, and soul living in the presence of God. Before God, in His throne room, before the throne of grace is certain release from the world and instant connectedness to the Almighty. "Draw near to God and He will draw near to you", Jas 4:8. Draw near without sin. Draw near without carnal desire. Draw near with complete devotion. No longer live in fear of what men can do to you. No longer doubt that God "is a very present help in time of trouble." No longer fear the Tempter who seeks to devour you. Believe in God and know that nothing and no one can separate you from the love of God. Trust and stay connected to God's love.
