CARE FOR ALL SOULS

"5 Listen, my beloved brethren: did not God choose the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him? 6 But you have dishonored the poor man." James 2:5,6a
Being Christians, we look at things and people different. People are not a means to fulfill our carnal pursuits. People are souls and all of them are precious to God. If or when Christians prefer the rich over the poor, it says they are evil judges who are horrible ambassadors for Christ.
"My brethren, do not hold your faith in the Lord Jesus with an attitude of personal favoritism." James 2:1.
The carnal-minded man, which Christians can sometimes be (see 1 Cor. 3:1) still carry with them old prejudices and loves that are unchristian. It should not be this way. In the church, the poor man is exalted above the prejudices of the world and the rich man is humiliated by being treated no better than anyone else, James 1:9,10.

Caring for all souls is what Jesus does. God chose for the poor to be rich in faith. We should love and appreciate all men because they have intrinsic value from their Creator.
